Birdie is the type of dog who’s instantly cuddly, eager to bond with her people, and always ready for an adventure! Whether it’s fetch, a walk around the block, or snuggling up for a movie night, Birdie is your girl.

 

Birdie would thrive in an active home with a fenced yard and older children or adults. She’s playful and energetic, making her a perfect match for someone who’s looking for a future agility superstar or a pup to join them on hikes, games, and fun! She would love a doggie companion who matches her energy and play style, but she’s not suited for homes with small children due to some excited nipping while playing (which she’s working on!).

 

Birdie is fully house-trained and while she does use her crate for short periods of time as needed, she prefers to co-sleep with her humans through the night as an extra measure of comfort. Birdie walks nicely on leash with a harness and rides well in the car. At this time, we would consider Birdie to be a flight risk so her forever home will need a secure yard and door protocol to keep her safe.

 

Due to her age and energy level, she does occassionally do some play nipping, but she’s learning bite inhibition and responds to gentle correction. Birdie has shown no signs of separation anxiety or resource guarding. She’s a quick learner and would benefit from positive reinforcement puppy classes to help her grow into the amazing dog she’s meant to be.
