Terra is a tender-hearted 5-year-old with a quiet presence and a sweet, soulful nature who came to us from way up north in Nunavut. Though initially timid and cautious, she blossoms with gentle care and patience. Once she feels safe, Terra warms up to affection, especially enjoying soft head rubs and belly scratches. She prefers to sit beside you rather than on your lap but will seek out your company and lean in for love.
Terra thrives in a calm, low-energy environment and would likely benefit from the companionship of another gentle dog. She doesn’t enjoy being alone and seems most at ease when she has a furry friend nearby. While she hasn’t been tested with cats or farm animals, she has shown polite curiosity toward other dogs—offering a gentle warning only when overwhelmed by high energy.
House-trained and well-behaved, Terra uses pee pads when necessary and is perfectly trustworthy in the home. She sleeps peacefully through the night in her crate and doesn’t chew or get into trouble when left alone. She’s learning to walk on leash with a harness and, while still building confidence, is making lovely progress.
Terra eats a soft-food diet and can be a bit picky with her meals. She’s not food-motivated and doesn’t show interest in treats or toys—her biggest reward is a quiet moment of connection with her humans.
The ideal home for Terra is a peaceful one, with patient adopters who will give her the time she needs to feel secure. She would do best with older children only, another calm dog, and a secure yard where she can slowly explore.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion to grow alongside, Terra may just be the one to gently steal your heart.
