Rotweiller X | 9 Years | Female | Medium
Sammy came to us after being surrendered to a high kill pound in Quebec. She arrived to our care overweight and with some mobility issues for which she is engaging in hydrotherapy to help her improve her strength and stamina. We are looking for a loving home with a family willing to continue on this journey back to wellness with Sammy to ensure she has lots of happy years ahead. Sammy enjoys children (over 10 only) and other lower energy, medium to large sized male dogs. She will require a home without small dogs or cats. Sammy is not crate trained, but can hold her bladder overnight without issue. Throughout the day, she needs to have the opportunity to go outside at least every 4-5 hours, otherwise she may have accidents in the house. Sammy can resource guard her toys, so we would not recommend giving her toys in the presence of other dogs or children. She loves attention, and enjoys her walks. A home without stairs would be best suited to Sammy. Please note that due to the high volume of applications we receive, only those deemed to be a potential match will be contacted further.
