Ricky was born with a slight malformation in one of his hind paws. It does not slow him down or affect his mobility in any way. In spite of his difficult beginning, he has blossomed into a happy.and well socialized little pup.

Although he is well-mannered in the home and is not at all destructive, his foster mum does recommend he is crated when left on his own for more than an hour or so, as he is still a puppy and does look for minor mischief when he is bored, like unravelling toilet paper etc. He is also happy to sleep in his crate at night, and is doing exceptionally well with housetraining. It is important that as soon as he is awake though, that he is taken outside to go to the bathroom, as again, he is still young and mastering holding his bladder!

Ricky shows little to no signs of separation anxiety, and though he may bark once or twice when left alone, it is not excessive and can be managed by giving him something to do, like a Kong toy with a few treats inside to occupy him.

Ricky would love to have another dog in his forever home, and he loves to play and make friends with other well socialized canines!

Though he is not a flight risk per se, he is small enough to be easy prey and therefore we would like him to have a secure fenced yard for his protection.
