Meet Honey!

 

Honey is a gentle 5-year-old girl with a heart as warm and sweet as her name! Once she gets to know you, she’s incredibly affectionate and happiest when she’s curled up beside her favourite people, soaking up cuddles, belly rubs, and quiet companionship.

 

Honey has settled beautifully into her foster home, where she lives peacefully with two small dogs. She’s house-trained, walks wonderfully on a harness, enjoys car rides, and can be left alone without anxiety or destructive behaviour. She’s a calm, easygoing companion who loves her daily walks but is just as content relaxing in the shade, snoozing in her cozy little hut, or following her person from room to room.

 

While Honey isn’t much interested in toys, she’s an expert at being the perfect cuddle buddy. She’s happiest in a quieter home where she can enjoy a predictable routine and spend time with the people she loves. Although she initially gave a brief growl when meeting another dog, she quickly settled once she felt safe, showing that she simply takes a little time to build confidence in new situations.

 

Honey would likely do best with calm, respectful older children and would be happy with another small dog. She hasn’t been tested with cats. A fenced yard isn’t necessary as long as she has regular walks and plenty of opportunities to spend time with her family.
