Fergus is a happy, playful little guy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Though estimated to be six, he’s full of puppy-like energy and enthusiasm. He’s always up for a walk, a game of chase, or a good cuddle on the couch.
Fergus has done wonderfully living with his senior pug foster siblings. He can be intense at first when meeting new dogs, but he’s quick to pick up on cues and happy to back off if told to. He’s a lover, not a fighter, and prefers to keep things fun! He hasn’t met cats or farm animals, but he’s an adaptable boy who learns quickly.
He hasn’t spent much time around children yet, though he’s gentle when taking treats and eager to play. Because he can jump for food and loves plush toys a bit too much, a home with older, dog-savvy kids would be best.
House training is coming along nicely - Fergus has stopped marking indoors and has never had a poop accident. He’s crate-free, quiet when alone, and perfectly content to nap on the couch. He’s also great in the car, on walks, and with visitors.

Fergus walks beautifully on a harness and knows basic commands - he even responds to French with a knowing and happy tail wag. He can be a bit cheeky when it’s time to come inside, so a secure yard or careful door-watchers are a must, as he’s a bit of a flight risk.
Fergus eats two meals a day and enjoys veggies and peanut butter treats. He’s an enthusiastic chewer, so durable, squeaker-free toys are the way to go.
Fergus would thrive with someone who has time to play, walk, and enjoy his lively spirit. He’s too energetic to be a couch potato but loves nothing more than curling up beside you when playtime’s done. Whether as a spoiled only dog or part of a small pack, Fergus will bring endless laughter, affection, and joy to his forever home.
