Demi is a gentle, soulful little guy who takes comfort in having “his person” and will quietly flourish in a calm and loving home. While he may be a bit standoffish with new people at first, once he feels safe, his affectionate and loyal side shines through.

 

Demi does best as either a solo dog or with one or two smaller canine companions. Big dogs can intimidate him, but he’s completely non-reactive with cats, birds, goats, horses, donkeys—you name it. He’s a peaceful little soul at heart. He came from a home with children and while we haven’t had the chance to test him directly with kids in his foster home, we know he warms up to all ages once he’s built trust.

 

Demi is house trained and has great manners in the home. He may mark briefly in new places, but a belly band helps during the adjustment period. He’s also crate trained and feels safe and cozy in his private space.

 

Leash walks? A breeze! Demi trots along like a pro, enjoys his daily strolls, and sticks right by your side. He doesn’t chew, bark, or cry when left alone—and he’s never shown any resource guarding - a real gem! He is fed twice daily but prefers to graze through the day. His absolute favourite treat? Cooked chicken! He’s healthy, happy, and has no food sensitivities or health concerns.

 

Demi is a sweet, loyal, low-drama companion looking for someone who will give him the calm, kind love he deserves.
