This sassy social butterfly would love to have another playful canine to romp and play with in his forever home, but if his family was around most of the time and able to entertain his need for both companionship and play time, he would also do well, as he does attach to humans quickly.

 

Carson has not met cats or critters but his spunky, curious and playful nature could lend itself to him being an annoyance to the felines, unless they were dog savvy and could set firm boundaries. He has also not lived with children, but his loving nature could make him a good fit for older kids who are gentle and respectful with him.

 

Carson is perfectly housetrained and has not had any accidents in his foster home. There has also been no need to crate him as he is very well-mannered and shown no signs of destructive behaviour or separation anxiety.

 

Carson loves his twice daily walks, and while he can pull a little on leash, he is easy to manage. He does like to do a lot of sniffing so his walks are a very important part of his daily rountine. He eats twice a day and enjoys liver treats and toys, and shows zero signs of resource guarding. He is truly a well-balanced little dog!

 

Overall Carson is a very adaptable, happy boy who is a nice blend of spunky and couch potato. He will sleep in as late as his humans but is also happy to get up and start the day early if that is your routine. He loves his play time, but appreciates a good cuddle sesh on the couch as well. He does enjoy co-sleeping with his human at night and is generally ready for bed after one last pee and a liver treat...and then he will slumber quietly beside you until you are ready to go again the next day. We feel Carson's ideal home will be moderately active with plenty of opportunities for him to socialize, exercise and play, balanced with an abundance of family time, and couch snuggles.​​
